The interactive map has the key (the link is in the paragraph). You can turn off and on different categories, and move around the globe, but generally the yellow is less concentrated microplastics than the darker colors. Yeah, still not good.
I'm shocked and horrified at the microplastics map! Is the concentration along American coastline due to the country's output or ocean currents moving global microplastics? Or is it more complicated than that?

What's the difference between the dots on the NOAA map? I couldn't see a key - I'm sure it's not good. Thanks for sharing :)
