My favorite day of the year -- when the light starts it’s return! When I was younger this was always just the “first day of winter” to me and it was blah. As an adult, it’s now my favorite day of the year as it starts the return of longer, sunshiney days! I live in West Central Florida specifically for the sunshine 😎
I love it! I sort of like both things - the dark AND that it will be getting lighter and lighter from here on! Not wildly enthusiastic about the cold that's barreling in tomorrow though!
Another huge reason I left PA for Florida. I cannot stand to be cold! And Christmas will be in the 40s! Everyone’s tolerance is different and I’m sure you’ll have much cooler temps than 40 something but, stay warm & cozy, friend. Interested to hear the update on which critters found comfort in the shed 🐾

And then - I just read about the Taliban shutting women out of universities again, and find myself wondering - where is the light there?
But I digress....
